Role Description for unDavos Summit: Moderator / Expert Moderator
Purpose/Context
As a Moderator or Expert Moderator at the unDavos Summit, you are responsible for guiding and enhancing the dynamics of a specific session. Your role is crucial in introducing topics, facilitating discussions, and ensuring the session remains engaging and on track with its intended agenda.
Responsibilities
- Introduce the session's topic and speakers to the audience.
- Facilitate the discussion by asking insightful questions that drive the conversation forward.
- Monitor the time to ensure the session adheres to its scheduled duration.
- Engage both the speakers and the audience to maintain a lively and interactive session.
Skills Needed
- Ability to animate and energize discussions, keeping the session dynamic and engaging.
- Strong connection skills to effectively interact with both speakers and audience members.
- Excellent time-management skills to ensure the session runs according to schedule.
- Proficient in guiding discussions in a way that elicits thoughtful responses and keeps the audience engaged.
Hours per Assignment
- The duration of the assigned session, including preparation time prior to the session for coordination with speakers and familiarization with the session content.
Expected Effort
- Pre-Davos: Prepare by familiarizing yourself with the session topics, speakers, and key discussion points.
- During Davos: Actively moderate the session, ensuring a smooth flow of conversation and adherence to time constraints.
